The scheme creates opportunities for social integration of the residents – young men and women who need varying degrees of support to assist them in establishing themselves as fully independent, confident adults.  Environmentally it is a low energy / low carbon / low water use scheme which meets Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 primarily using passive means. A central entrance hall and sports/ recreation facilities at the heart of the scheme is intended to promote social interaction.
